Police has finally arrested a one Lukyamuzi Denis who until today has been on the run after having embezzled funds of St. Margret College Makerere Kikoni while he was still the head teacher there. According to Kampala Metropolitan publicist Emilian Kayima, Lukyamuzi who at times disguises as Busulwa Oscar has for long been on police’s wanted list after numerous complaints arose from people from all walks of life about being defrauded by the suspect.
He is now detained at wandegeya police station and Kayima has appealed to all victims to go and record statements against him to help police gather more pinning evidence.
Meanwhile police in Kasangati has in custody a one Habib Owoyimana who had turned it into a habit to rape women in the morning along various roads.
Kayima says that the culprit’s luck ran out this morning at around 5pm when he attempted to rape a woman but fortunately the son come to the rescue of the mother before being joined by the public who beat him to near death.
He added that the culprit has over 10 files at kasangati all opened against him on the same act before he appealed to the public to always report such incidents to police
In the same way kawempe police station has in custody two ring leaders of a group of number plate thieves.
The two whose group operates within kampla and the surrounding areas include Ssendawula Moses 28 years a resident of Makidye who disguises as a munyole and doesn’t know luganda language and Muwonge Ibrahim 17 years, the duo was arrested from Maganjo.
Kayima has a called upon those who suffered in the hands of these people to record statement to police and the public to always decline from giving them money which they ask them to pay in order to have their number plated returned.
He further appealed to Uganda Communication Commission UCC to take on their duty and disconnect the phone lines that are not registered since they are the ones used by these thieves.
