Poor feeding forces Prime Minister to urgently convene a National forum on nutrition

The office of the Prime Minister has organized a high level two day National nutrition Forum 2018 to discuss the achievements,  challenges so far ever since the launch of Uganda nutrition Action plan in 2011 in addition to to chating a way forward on fulfilling to 100%
The event that will run under the theme accelerating investments in nutrition for sustainable development commences on Wednesday 14th March with a technical level review and on the 15th it will be a final evaluation of the same at the office of the Prime Minister auditorium.
According to the nutrition head in the office of the Prime Minister Mr.  Boaz Musimenta, the forum is part of the coordination mechanism of scaling up nutrition, eliminating stunting, stroke, obesity, anemia, under weight and other vulnerables.
The meeting will be attended by various government ministries, local government, development partners, agency officials,  technocratics, ambassadors, academia, Prime Minister Ruhakana Rugunda among others.
It should be noted that in 2011 president museveni launched the Uganda nutrition action plan with the objectives of easing access to nutrition health services, creating awareness on nutrition among others with major focus on children below five years and pregnant women.
