The Abim district RDC Mpimbaza Ashaka has confirmed social media allegations over the district police immorality towards the residents including raping, defiling, breaking up of families, impregnating and detaining husbands of ladies of their desire.

Speaking to Mpimbaza said that he has so far received over five complainants over the said allegations including the Abim town council councilor a one Anyir Joseph who  claimed that when his wife and other 3 women were detained, police used the chance to transfer them from the cells to  homes of police officers, and whenever he could go to visit her, used not to find her in cells but instead she used to have new hair looks, new clothes and later was released while pregnant.

Ashaka says that though all these are happening before the area DPC but not even files have been opened up instead suspects are being released and given unclear leaves.

“Its true I have so far received over 5 allegations from different people including married women, school children and other young girls have been raped, defiled, impregnated and husbands of the said women have been tortured, detained in the eyes of the area DPC but me as the district  security head have tried to see that these officers dace the law though some have been released on unclear circumstances”  RDC Mpimbaza confirms.
