The Democratic Party (DP) chief whip also Kalungu West member of Parliament Joseph Gonzaga Ssewungu has lashed at NRM government over a proposal to introduce a “based financing strategy” that aims to pay medics in accordance to output.
Ssewungu says this is not the best and applicable approach to standardize the health sector thus urging government to set up minimum wage salary to both private and public servants as a stepping stone in strengthening and improving service delivery countrywide.
Meawhile Ssewungu has lashed at government for being luxurious by spending too much on useless political and administrative offices such as the RDCs and RCCs.
He has also implored parliament to reduce on the number of legislators as a big parliament is a burden to the tax payer.
Meanwhile Ssewungu has expressed worry over activities done in Lwera along Masaka road including sand mining saying this is a typical indicator of environmental degradation that should be halted.
