The real story has been revealed about  media reports that the UPDF elite unit Special Forces Command; SFC cordoned off the residence of Nuncio Michael August Blume’s residence in Mbuya(a suburb of Kampala) who is the special representative of Holy Pope Francis in Uganda prior to his visit in November 2015.
According to our reliable sources that were in charge of the pope’s visit and the security of the event, the elite force was not involved in the security of the event and in preparation of the visit since all security agencies were represented by Assistant Commissioner of Police Fred Sekiwere.
The sources further informed us that despite the charismatic Bishop being cleared by the archbishop of Kampala Diocese Cyprian Kizito Lwanga to lead the security officers who were handed to him by the National Organizing Committe that sat at president’s office to inspect all the areas Pope Francis visited including; Munyonyo, Lubaga Cathedral and hospital, Kololo airstrip and among others, security never went to Nuncio residence where Pope Francis stayed during the visit.
The leader of Mamre international prayer centre Namugongo Janda Bishop Jacinto Kibuuka was at the time the secretary general of the Construction and finance committee and its representative to National Organizing Committee of the pope Francis’ 2015 visit.
Bishop Kibuuka went to Nuncio’s resident to seek an appointment for the security to inspect the area but since the Nuncio was in Mityana, Sister Max who was around told him to write names of the officers who wanted to carry out inspection since he had not gone with them. This was done though it didn’t go down well with Nuncio who was in unit with other Bishops who got in conflict with Archbishop Lwanga for leaving out the Episcopal conference and skipping the official procedures in the process of inviting and preparation of the pope’s visit.
Nuncio consequently demanded for an apology from Bishop Kibuuka and Arch Bishop Lwanga for attempting to bleech his diplomacy which apology letter was written by Archbishop Lwanga before drafting another for Bishop Kibuuka.
This all happened at Mapeera House forth floor in the presence of Rev. Father Deogratius Sonko and Mr. Ssenfuma Livingstone but SFC never at any one time went to Nuncio’s Residence like its being portrayed.
From what we gathered, it is Bishop Kibuuka’s popularity that angered Archbishop Lwanga hence his dismissal from the Roman Catholic Church on the grounds of disobedience thus his subsequent crossing over to the eastern rite of Evangelical Orthodox Church in Uganda
