Things just keep getting better for Jinja based soccer club Good News FC, today a renown football fanatic Suzan Kwagala has donated items worth 1.7 million shillings to the club players and coaching staff. The items include 10 boxes of bar soap, 150 kilograms of maize flour, 80 kilograms of sugar, 36 litres of cooking oil and 4 select balls.
“My heart goes out for this wonderful team.I believe in the Good News vision because we are much more than a football team, there is a sense of belonging so you feel you are family!.” excitedly remarks Kwagala
“Today I decided to just share whatever God has blessed me with. I wish I could do more but am glad they received it with open arms. I hope to continue standing with the Good News family now and time to come. ” adds Kwagala
This is not the first time Suzan Kwagala has reached out to the Good New vision for she has continually rendered financial support to the team.
Good News chairman Mwesigwa David expressed delight for the support received.
“Words can’t express what is on my heart. My heart is full!. The blessings God has bestowed on the Good News family are evident and we shall forever be grateful.” notes Mwesigwa

A total of 36 players and coaching staff have benefited from this initiative and the next phase is expected to empower players with capital to start small scale businesses for sustainable development.
Good News FC is Christian founded club based in the Eastern district of Jinja.They use sports to reach out to the community sharing their faith and empowering the youth. Before the Federation of the Uganda Football Associations declared all fourth division leagues in the country null and void,they sat second position of the Jinja district DFA Fourth Division League with 20 points from 11 games just two behind table leaders.
