The Bishop for Central and Eastern provinces of Uganda in the Evangelical Orthodox Church EOC that subscribes to the Antioch Catholic rite said that those who attack him and his church over priestly dress code  are only driven by enmity, hate, frustrations and personal vendetta against him and the unprecedented speedy development of the church in the country.
His remarks followed the world leader of EOC (Patriarch) Bishop Jerold Gliege defending the priestly dress code of their church during  the Sunday divine liturgy at Mamre International Prayer Centre Namugongo Janda.

Patriarch Jerold said that liturgical vestments have been and are still the traditional garments of the church since they symbolize baptism, the Kingdom of God, building of the yoke of Christ and that they (priests) are the Shepard  of the flocks.
He thus said its not proper and biblical for one church to claim ownership of the biblical vestments since their others churches that fall under the One holy apostolic Catholic Church.
In addition Bishop Jacinto Kibuuka wondered why they only attack EOC over liturgical vestments yet other churches use them before attributing it to either  ignorance, enmity, fear or deliberate urge to ridicule him and EOC church.
He advised his offenders to read the scriptures about liturgical vestments citing out Exodus 28, Leviticus 10:6, exodus 39:6-29, Leviticus 8:13, Leviticus 6:10-11, 2Deuteronomy 22:12 saying may then, they will stop attacking them.
He further thanked the congregation for standing with him in all situations adding that it’s in them and God that his power lies before reemphasizing that he will never return to the Roman Catholic Church.
