Uganda’s activists group The Alternative meet South Sudanese fighter son Garang.
In a bid to build pan-Africanism and networking of African youth movements, Uganda’s youth activists movement The Alternative have on Friday evening met with Maj Gen. Mabior Garang a son to the Sudanese politician and revolutionary leader late Dr (Col) John Garang de Mabior.
This website has learnt that the meeting discussed issues connected to non-violent African human rights, good governance and a united peaceful continent.
Speaking to the movement national coordinator Mr. Norman Tumuhimbise, has confirmed but declined to highlight some of the issues tackled. By publication time, the venue had not been identified.
“In an attempt to create more regional allies, true The Alternative movement group through their leader have met a cerebrated freedom fighter of South Sudan Maj gen Mabior Garang.” Mr. Tumuhimbise confirmed.
When asked to expound on the issues discussed, Mr. Tumuhimbise has said that apart from creating more impact towards their fight for good governance, the rest remain confidential until they will address the nation through proper channels.
“I can confess that 2019 is a year of creating more impact towards our fight for good governance. I and the entire movement our future is guaranteed. The details of our meeting with this generational freedom fighter are confidential for now. But just know we are moving forward.” Mr. Tumuhimbise added
