UIA secures 9 million dollars to build 1000 work units for SME

The Uganda Investment Authority is set to build more than 1000 Unit work spaces for small Medium Enterprises in all industrial parks.
.According to  Basel Angeli the UIA director in charge of Small Medium Enterprises, this  is a strategy aimed at aggregating Small and Medium Enterprises to work together with the Units to be constructed with a 9million Us Dollar funding from the Chinese government.

Basel says starting this year the first units will be constructed in Balance Industrial area.

He says Small Medium Enterprises need to come together in order to learn from each other and once they come together in an organised member then they will be forced to finalise their business.

Gazetted ten acres of land to construct 1000 industrial units.
The first construction will start  in Kampala with in Namanve industrial park and this is expected to employ a minimum of 15000people in the next one year.
