VARIOUS YOUTH LEAGUES, CSO FORM COALITION TO DESIST AGE LIMIT AMENDMENT

Uganda youth from diverse fraternity of civil society organizations, political parties led by the  national female youth member of parliament  Anna Adeke have come out to form a joint coalition dubbed INCHI YETU, to oppose the amendment of the age limit bill.
Adeke while addressing a joint press conference said having 78% of the  Ugandan population made of the youth, they are speaking for their outcry of the youth in various parts of the country in a bid to protect the integrity of the constitution order, need for peaceful transition of power and fight for democracy.
Adeke on behalf of the other groups said that older persons have remained in power denying the youth the right to exercise their talent because of greed depriving the country fresh ideas, energy, and much needed vision that is necessary for socioeconomic and political progress.
The president of the Uganda  young democrats stressed that they are going to lobby not only the members of parliament but also the youth and people country wide to fight the amandment bill.
