We want to harmonize, own Muntu’s arrangements-fdc

Opposition Forum for Democratic Change has distanced itself from the former party president Maj Gen Mugisha Muntu consultations program which have commenced today Monday in hoima district on ground that he never wrote to the party leadership.
When asked to clarify on the letter written by the party secretary general Hon. Nathan Nandala Mafabi barring any party member from conducting activities without notifying the party leadership, the  Kawempe south legislator Hon. Mubarak Munyagwa who addressed the press on the party’s behalf said that the motive of the letter to have all the programs harmonized to avoid clashing of their members and activities.
Sarah Eperu the spokesperson of the women’s league said that they have not gotten any formal letter from Muntu about his programs.
She added that as a party they want to own Muntu’ arrangements and movements.
“We want to own Muntu’s arrangements and movements so that we can be able to back him up in case of any thing” said Sarah
“Muntu wrote to IGP and copied in FDC, he has not written to us officially for harmonization. Every body is free to mobilize for the party but must first inform the leadership.” Sarah added.

In the same way Munyagwa has revealed that tuesday is their last day as party members to appear in Mbarara court for inciting violence incase hearing doesn’t commence.
He says them and the party president Eng Patrick Amuriat Oboi will first have lunch at mbarara central market, then proceed to party offices and then head to court all in the spirit of interacting with the people in abide to maximize the opportunity of mobilizing for the party amidst the motive of the state to keep them busy in court with the trumpant up charges against them.

Amuriate is charged together with Dr Kiiza Besigye, Ingrid Turinawe, Mubarack Munyagwa and others.
On Wednesday the same group will appear in Rukungiri court and Kabaale court in a week’s time.
