The jobless brotherhoods have called upon the church of Uganda to suspend and offer a refresher course to the Ankole Bishop Rt Rev Dr Fred Sheldon Mwesigwa over what they termed as “disrespecting” the Christian religion when he allegedly accepted the “brown” envelope of president M7 thus claimed that he recovered his baptism book which they regarded as hypocrisy in Church.
Speaking to Robert Mayanja the now movement leader after the split, he said that the intention of the group members from western Uganda of dumping yellow piglets yesterday at Namirembe cathedral was to serve as an wakening call to the church not to be used by president museveni for his own interests.
Mayanja says that the act wasn’t meant to disrespect the institution but was a call to the clergies to distance themselves from immoral acts be quoting the Bible, which describes Jesus Christ as a selfless person but not selfish as being portrayed by some clergies.
“We are soon meeting arch Bishop of Uganda over the conducts of Ankole Bishop Rt Rev Dr Fred Sheldon Mwesigwa and unless he is suspended, taken for a refresher course, repent or expelled, we as Kampala command center, we are to take a bigger action than that of Sunday executed by the jobless brotherhood Mbarara” Mayanja warns.
“The Jesus we know was and is not selfish like most clergies in Uganda and if we continue to live in such religious atmospheres then we have lost Christianity values” Mayanja highlighted.
