Police in Bushenyi have arrested 14 people in connection with a deadly incident where 17 people were cut by panga men on independence day night in Ishaka town
According to greater Bushenyi police spokes person SP Tayebwa, the arrests were made from Ishaka yesterday and last night.
A credible source told www.mknewslink.com that among the 14 arrested 3 are part of the gang that cut people on Independence Day Thursday night.
The incident of cutting 14 Ishaka men comes at the heels of a dangerous conflict of two tycoons Alhajji Hassan Basajabalaba and Hajji Muhammad Lukwago.
This news website cannot authoritatively prove that the panga men were as the result of the above tycoons’.
Panga men become the order of the day in greater Masaka where many people were cut and president Museveni intervened and sorted the matter once and for all.
What we are not sure about at this point in time is not whether the Masaka panga men came from there on a bus and started destabilizing residents of Ishaka in this coming elections that begin on January 14th 2026 and onwards.
