The academic giants of Bushenyi, Parental care nursery and primary school have today nominated primary seven candidates ahead of their primary leaving examinations scheduled for 3rd and 4th November.
The dedication ceremony which was attended by a congregation of parents and well-wishers was led by the Archdeacon all saints Bushenyi Rev Didas Natweta and Fr. Emmanuel Musinguzi of st Kaggwa Parish.
According to Ayesiga Mukama Trevor, the school director, 120 candidates were registered compared to last year’s 85.
Elvidor Nshemerirwe, the directress commended the parents for trusting them with their children and promised never to let them down through providing all necessary services. She asked the parents to keep praying for their children until the last hour.
Ms Nshemerirwe also commended the teachers for putting in enough effort towards grooming and shaping pupils in academic and co-curricular activities. She added that the candidates are prepared enough and they expect 100 percent first grade.
Parental Care has always represented Bushenyi district and Uganda at large in events like debating, public speaking and spelling competitions and has always emerged victorious.
Richard Byaruhanga the Mayor Bushenyi Ishaka Municipality who was the chief guest noted that the school has done a great role in lifting the municipality’s status ahead of others due to their good performance in academic and co-curricular activities.
Twebaze Prosper, the aspiring LC5 chairperson for Bushenyi said that Bushenyi is one of most celebrated districts in Uganda in education noting that Parental has played a big role making the district shine.
He also advised the candidates to observe patience with good discipline and consistence in order to achieve success.
The schools debating team in collaboration with Ntare school entertained the parents with a very impressive debate. The school choir also showcased great talent and skills which cheered up parents.
Also present at the function was Muheereza Valentine ‘Kachaina’ who encouraged parents and pupils to take education very serious if they are to achieve great things in life.
