Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) invited 986 Express Entry candidates with scores as low as 300 to apply for a provincial nomination on June 1.
All the invited candidates were eligible for Ontario PNP’s Express Entry Skilled Trades Stream. They had the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score between 300 and 379 points. The invited candidates submitted their profiles between June 1, 2020, and June 1, 2021.
If invited applicants receive the nomination, they will be effectively guaranteed to receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for permanent residence in a subsequent Express Entry draw. This is because all Express Entry candidates who receive an Enhanced Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) nomination get 600 CRS points added to their score.
The OINP will communicate with all invited candidates. Invited candidates have 45 days to submit their application for provincial nomination to Manitoba PNP immigration authorities.

Basics on OINP’s Express Entry Skilled Trades Stream
The Ontario Express Entry skilled trades stream provides a pathway to permanent residency for Federal Skilled Worker Program and Canadian Experience Class applicants. Eligible candidates are invited to apply for provincial nomination.
Eligible applicants currently live in Ontario and have at least one year of full-time work experience or the part-time equivalent. They must have completed this work experience in the province in a skilled trade listed in minor group 633 or major group 72, 73, or 82 of the National Occupational Classification (NOC) of Canada.
No job offer is required to apply for the Skilled Trades stream, but applicants must meet all mandatory federal and provincial requirements.
The first step in being considered for a provincial nomination is to submit a profile to the Express Entry system.
