Late Hon. Nakimuli’s Body Departs for Kalangala

Entebbe – The Body of late Hon. Hellen Nakimuli, the former Legislator for Kalangala District has been taken to Kalangala District where the Council is expected to hold a special session in remembrance of her distinguished services.

The Management of A Plus Funeral Services being accompanied by friends, relatives of Nakimuli and fellow legislators, have used A Ferry at Nakiwogo in Entebbe to Kalangala during the afternoon lunch hours of Monday.

According to the program, tomorrow, the body after Public viewing at Kalangala District Council, it be moved back to Kampala via the Masaka route for an overnight stay at the funeral home.

Then on Wednesday, Wednesday, 22 April 2026, the body will be moved to Parliament for public viewing and thereafter, a Special Session of Parliament convened to pay tribute to the late Hon. Nakimuli. “The body will then be moved to the National Unity Platform (NUP) Headquarters in Makerere Kavule prior to the official vigil at the family residence in Namungoona, Kampala.”

The Send off will be on Thursday this week, at the ancestral home in Luweero District, but before that there will be a funeral service at the Namungoona Orthodox Church.

Nakimuli joined Parliament in 2021 after she was elected as the woman MP for Kalangala, the position in which she was re elected in the 2026 General elections.
