Pictorial: Hundreds Gather in Kalangala to Pay Tribute to Hon. Nakimuli

Kalangala– Residents from various villages making up Kalangala district, Religious leaders, Legislators, political heads, cultural leaders and other members of the public have gathered at Kalangala district h headquarters to pay tribute to the fallen Kalangala Woman Member of Parliament Hon. Hellen Nakimuli.

The National Unity Platform (NUP) Party which the deceased was subscribing to has presented a very big delegation lled by the Acting President Dr. Lina Zedriga, her Deputy Jolly Jacklyn Tukamushaba, Members of Parliament and other party members.

The district council is expected to seat officially chaired by its Speaker, in presence of all representatives (special sitting) to pass a motion appreciating the good deeds of Hon. Nakimuli for the five year term she has been a woman representative of this area.

Tomorrow, Wednesday, the body will be moved back to Kampala and later a special sitting will be held at Parliament where legislators pay tribute to her.

Then in the evening, the body will then be moved to the National Unity Platform (NUP) Headquarters in Makerere Kavule prior to the official vigil at the family residence in Namungoona, Kampala.

Finally, Burrial will be held on Thursday at her ancestral home in Luweero District.
