The road to national school football glory has officially begun after the draws for the 2026 USSSA Ball Games I girls’ football championship were conducted today at the USSSA headquarters at GNS Plaza in Kampala.
A total of 64 teams have been distributed into 16 groups, setting the stage for what promises to be a fiercely contested tournament. The top 16 teams, determined by last year’s performance, were seeded to ensure balance across the groups.
Defending champions St Noa Girls Secondary School Zana return to the competition with high expectations after lifting last year’s title in a thrilling final against Amus College at Bukedea Comprehensive School. All eyes will be on the champions as they begin their title defense in Group A.
The championship is scheduled to kick off on April 29, 2026, with Seroma Christian High School Mukono hosting this year’s edition.
With emerging talents, traditional powerhouses, and underdog schools all in the mix, the tournament is expected to deliver exciting football and intense rivalries across the groups.
