USSSA Ball Games 2026: Namagabi, Madina Lead Charge into U17 Netball Quarter-Finals

The 2026 Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association (USSSA) U17 Netball Championship has burst into the decisive quarter-final stage, with standout performances from Namagabi Secondary School and Madina Islamic Secondary School setting the tone after a thrilling round of 16 played on Monday.
Namagabi underlined their growing reputation as serious contenders with a hard-fought 19–15 victory over Sseke SS, showcasing discipline and resilience in a tightly contested encounter. Their reward is a tricky quarter-final tie against Light College Katikamu, a side equally brimming with confidence after eliminating St. Francis Busunjju 24–19.
Madina Islamic, meanwhile, stamped their authority with a commanding 28–17 win over JORI, signaling intent as they march deeper into the tournament. They now face one of the toughest tests of the competition against St. Mary’s Boarding Secondary School, Kitende, who cruised past Dynamic 34–10 in a dominant display. The clash is already being touted as a potential final before the final.

Elsewhere, Wakiso will witness a fierce derby as Kawanda Secondary School squares off with Kajjansi Progressive. Kawanda were clinical in their 23–06 demolition of Bulo, while Kajjansi showed composure to dispatch Bukedea 26–18.
In another intriguing matchup, Mukono’s Hamdan Islamic will battle Luweero’s Amazing Grace. Hamdan delivered one of the most emphatic results of the round, thrashing White Angels 42–12, while Amazing Grace edged Boston 15–14 in a nail-biting finish.
With the competition narrowing to the final eight, the stage is set for high-intensity clashes as schools chase national glory.
