The Chief Coordinator of Operation Wealth Creation (OWC) and Senior Presidential Adviser on Defence and Security, Gen. Caleb Akandwanaho, popularly known as Gen. Salim Saleh, has appointed veteran public servant Dusman Okee as his official spokesperson.
The appointment marks a significant step in strengthening strategic communication and public engagement within the Office of the Chief Coordinator of Operation Wealth Creation, reflecting confidence in Okee’s extensive experience, leadership credentials, and commitment to public service.
Okee is widely respected for his distinguished service as the Resident District Commissioner (RDC) of Pader District, where he earned recognition for his discipline, dedication, and effective coordination of government programs. Throughout his public service career, he has consistently championed government initiatives, promoted community engagement, and fostered collaboration between citizens and state institutions.
His wealth of experience in public administration, governance, and communication positions him well to articulate the vision, priorities, and achievements of Gen. Salim Saleh’s office while strengthening engagement with stakeholders, the media, and the wider public.
Beyond public administration, Okee has also made notable contributions to Uganda’s sporting fraternity, having previously served as President of the Federation of Motorsport Clubs of Uganda (FMU), where he was instrumental in advancing the growth and professionalization of motorsport in the country.
Okee also comes from a family with a longstanding tradition of public leadership. He is a brother of the Minister of Justice and Constitutional Affairs and President General of the Democratic Party (DP), Norbert Mao.
As spokesperson, Okee is expected to lead communication efforts for the Office of the Chief Coordinator of Operation Wealth Creation, ensuring timely dissemination of information, enhancing public awareness of government initiatives, and strengthening engagement with development partners, local communities, and the media.
His appointment has been welcomed by many as a recognition of his years of dedicated service, professionalism, and unwavering commitment to national development, qualities that are expected to further enhance the visibility and effectiveness of Operation Wealth Creation’s mission of promoting household incomes, wealth creation, and socio-economic transformation across Uganda.
