When Joy Nyaboke left Uganda after landing a new job as a domestic worker in Saudi Arabia, she believed that her entire life was about to take a turn for the better. 

While a 23-year old, she had never envisioned herself earning a living through a housework. Her dreams had gone distant she all of a sudden dropped out college due to financial constraints. “I was desperate for a job,” said Joy one of the most growing number of Ugandans who travel to the gulf to seek jobs, pushed out by the country’s high level of unemployment.
