No remorse for prime suspect in Ndiga clan head murder as he is remanded to Luzira

Lujja Tabula Bbosa, the prime suspect in the murder of Ndiga clan head, Eng. Dan Bbosa has been remanded to Luzira.

On Monday afternoon, Mwanga 2 Court Grade One magistrate, Adams Byarugaba allowed the state prosecutor, Ms. Caroline Mpumwire to amend the charge sheet be amended to include Tabula as accused number one.

Murder charges related to the murder of Eng.Bbosa on February, 25 in Lungujja were later read to Tabula but the magistrate warned him against taking plea as this is a capital offence only tried by the High Court.

“This court has no jurisdiction since it is capital in nature but you will be remanded to prison ,” the magistrate said.

The state prosecutor, Mpumwire told court that investigations into the matter are complete and asked for more time to complete processing of the committal papers for six accused to be committed to High Court for trial to begin.

The magistrate remanded Tabula to prison until October, 3 when he will return for mention of the case together with his co-accused.

No remorse

Chauffered in a white van, Tabula arrived at Mengo Nateete court at around 1pm amidst tight security.

Donning a blue and white collared T-shirt, Tabula was taken to the court room as he swore allegiance to the Ndiga clan.

He insisted that what happened was an act of revenge.

“A beer debt is paid by beer. I will not tire fighting for what is legitimately mine. I am fighting to save my clan,” Tabula said.

He now joins  five other suspects including Noah Lujja , 21 accused of pulling the trigger, Harriet Nakiguli, 40, Joseph Nakabale, 47, Ezra Mayanja and Milly Naluwenda, 46, a Buganda traditional court clerk who are currently on remand.
