Maroons have announced their 25-man squad, including 12 new signings, ahead of the 2024/25 Uganda Premier League (UPL) season.
It’s now less than a week left to kick off the league, and the Prisons Warders will start with a home tie against UPDF in Luzira, on Sunday, September 15.
Maroons head coach Muhammad Ssenfuma-coached has recruited upto a dozen of new players, with returning goalkeeper Simon Tamale topping the long list of twelve.
The eleven other newcomers are; Hassan Matovu, Bashir Mutanda, Jamal Ssemwogerere, Ibrahim Dada, Rogers Kiwanuka, Ivan Asaba, Apollo Kagogwe, Brian Omirambe, Ambrose Kirya, Muwadda Mawejje and Ivan Mayanja.
The squad has three goalkeepers, including returnee Tamale, plus Matovu, and Amir Nalugoda who was retained from the previous season.
The other retained are; Edward Kabona, Innocent Biyika, Fredrick Kigozi, Godwin Kitagenda, Boris Onegi, Ronald Orombi, Felix Okot, Norman Odipio, Jackson Nunda, Solomon Walusimbi, Mujahid Ogama, Darius Ojok.
