How do the OINP draws work?
The Ontario PNP draws are held regularly to invite skilled workers, international graduates and entrepreneurs to apply for permanent residency in Ontario. These draws target individuals who can help meet the province’s labour market needs and contribute to its economy.
The OINP operates under various streams:
OINP PNP Streams
- Employer Job Offer: Foreign Worker Stream
- Employer Job Offer: International Student Stream
- Employer Job Offer: In-Demand Skills Stream
- Masters Graduate Stream
- PhD Graduate Stream
- Entrepreneur Stream
OINP Express Entry Streams
- Human Capital Priorities Stream
- French-Speaking Skilled Worker Stream
- Skilled Trades Stream
Invitations are issued based on a points system, with different draws having varying criteria and score cut-offs. Once invited, candidates submit a full application to the OINP. If approved, they receive a provincial nomination, which enhances their chances of successfully applying for Canadian permanent residency through the federal immigration process.
