Express Entry Draws in January
This was the third Express Entry draw conducted by IRCC in January. The previous invitation rounds were held on January 23 and January 10, 2024.
Draw No. | Date | Round Type | No. of ITAs | Minimum CRS |
280 | January 23, 2024 | General | 1,040 | 543 |
279 | January 10, 2024 | General | 1,510 | 546 |
These January draws follow a busy December in which IRCC invited candidates across seven separate Express Entry draws throughout the month. Throughout 2023, IRCC conducted a total of 42 Express Entry draws. These included:
- 19 All-program draws,
- 17 Category-based selection draws,
- 5 Provincial Nominee Program-only draws, and
- 1 Federal Skilled Worker Program draw
The January 31st draw came off as a surprise, as Express Entry draws are typically conducted at regular two-week intervals, on a Wednesday. The next Express Entry draw is expected to be conducted on February 07, 2024.
There is no one-size-fits-all type of profile, which is eligible for a Canada PR in an all-program Express Entry draw. Candidates applying under any of the Express Entry linked Canada PR pathways are ranked using the CRS score calculator.
The higher your CRS score, the more the chances of receiving an invitation to apply for Canada PR.
