A new draw through the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) was held on May 5. Manitoba issued 315 Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs) to immigrating candidates in this new PNP draw.
The May 5 draw welcomed candidates through 3 MPNP streams:
Skilled Workers in Manitoba
- Number of Letters of Advice to Apply issued: 249
- Required score of the lowest-ranking candidate: 651
International Education Stream
- Number of Letters of Advice to Apply issued: 32
Skilled Workers Overseas (Strategic Recruitment Initiative)
- Number of Letters of Advice to Apply issued: 34
- Required score of the lowest-ranking candidate: 691
48 out of the total 315 candidates had valid Express Entry IDs and job seeker validation codes.

Who can be invited under Manitoba PNP?
Expressions of interest from Skilled Worker Overseas candidates were only evaluated if they were invited directly by the MPNP as part of a Strategic Recruitment initiative, or if they hold an IRCC Express Entry ID and job seeker validation code.
Candidates having an IRCC Express Entry ID and job seeker validation code will only be considered for a nomination if their Express Entry profile is still active at the time of the application review.
If you received a higher score in the Manitoba points calculator than the lowest-ranked candidate but did not receive a Letter of Advice to Apply, it could be because:
You indicated that you took an approved third-party language test to demonstrate your language ability in English/French, but you did not provide a valid Test Number in your EOI, or your language test is no longer valid.
You stated that you received a Strategic Initiative Invitation to Apply to the MPNP, but you did not offer a valid Invitation Number.
Please note that there is help text accessible for each question in EOI, which provides thorough advice on the information you should submit. If you find yourself in one of these situations, you should amend your EOI with the relevant information in order to be included in the next EOI pool draw.
Candidates who are fully licensed to work in Manitoba, or are working in a regulated occupation have been selected in this draw. The Manitoba Provincial Nomination Program (MPNP) may reject full applications from candidates who fail to provide proof of having undergone the licensing steps or who are actually not working in a regulated occupation.
