The fresh draw takes Manitoba’s total number of invites awarded in 2021 to 9,571
The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) invited 421 immigration candidates across three Provincial Nominee Programs in total (PNPs). With the help of this draw, nearly 350 Manitoba skilled workers with a minimum score of 460, 38 overseas skilled workers with a minimum score of 713, 33 candidates with no minimum score requirement under the International Education Stream and a total of 75 candidates under the Express Entry category were invited.
The Canadian Experience Class, the Federal Skilled Worker Program, and the Federal Skilled Trades Program are all managed through Express Entry which is Canada’s online application management system for these three federal high-skilled immigration programs.
Candidates planning to migrate to Canada must submit a profile to the Express Entry system, which is ranked using the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS). Age, job experience, education, and language abilities, among other things, are all given points. The top-scoring individuals are invited to apply for permanent residency through regular Express Entry draws.
By applying immediately through Express Entry, it is possible to bypass the PNP procedure and get a permanent residency invitation. A provincial nomination, on the other hand, results in an automatic 600 CRS points, practically guaranteeing applicants an Invitation to Apply (ITA) in a later Express Entry draw.

The MPNP, which facilitates immigration applications to the federal government, handles Manitoba’s immigration programs. Although Canadian provinces do not have the authority to grant Canada PR, they can assist applicants by making provincial nominations.
If you wish to be considered for a nomination from Manitoba, you must first submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) to the MPNP. This qualifies you for an LAA through the Skilled Workers in Manitoba and Skilled Workers Overseas programs. Manitoba then assigns candidates a point value out of 1,000 based on their human capital elements and connections to the province.
The Skilled Workers Overseas and Skilled Workers in Manitoba categories are intended to help the province find applicants who satisfy the province’s labour market demands. Candidates from outside Manitoba must demonstrate ties to the province, such as close family ties, past experience in the province, or an invitation through one of Manitoba’s Strategic Recruitment Initiatives. To be eligible, you do not need to be a Manitoba resident at the time of your application.
You must have a full-time employment offer from a provincial company to be eligible for an invitation under the Skilled Workers in Manitoba category.
International graduates who complete their study in Manitoba may be eligible for an invitation under the International Education Stream provided they can demonstrate in-demand skills.
