Paidha Black Angels, newcomers to the FUFA Big League, have parted ways with eight players, headlined by former captain Yoacel Raymond.
Yoacel, affectionately known as “Ayo,” joined Paidha Black Angels last season and played a pivotal role in their promotion quest.
However, contract renewal negotiations stalled, leading to his departure. Reports suggest Raymond will reunite with his former club, Nebbi Central, in the West Nile Regional League.
Other players who were released by the club are academy graduates Okoth Norris, Oyirwoth Desmond and Jakuma Allan who joined West Nile Regional League sides Paidha United, Padea Rising Stars and Pakwach Young Stars respectively.
Asiku Khalid and Salim Abdallah left for Lia City, Uma Julius to Butcher FC while Bulemeezi FC fullback Odongo Charles has signed for Padea Rising Stars.
The Blacks have so far unveiled Brian Kayanja, Fredrick Mayindi and Billy Nkata while Joel Jangeyambe, Innocent Bosco and Gaddafi Gadinho have renewed their contracts.
Paidha Black Angels will kickoff their second division campaign away to Onduparaka at the Ababet Greenlight Stadium on Sunday 6th in the West Nile Derby before hosting Buhimba Saints United on Friday 18th October.
