Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP)s latest provincial draw invites 418 immigrants for a provincial nomination for Canada PR Visa held on March 24.

Candidates were invited through SINP’s International Skilled Worker Category. 183 immigrants were invited under the Express Entry sub-category and 235 under the Occupation in-demand sub-category.

Regardless of the stream, invited applicants needed an Expression of Interest (EOI) score of at least 70 to be invited. They also needed an educational credential assessment to demonstrate that their studies abroad were equivalent to the Canadian standard.

Also, candidates are required to have work experience in one of the 70 in-demand occupations of the province. Some of the eligible occupations include social and community service workers, and educational consultants, etc.

The Occupation In-Demand subcategory is a Basic Provincial Nominee Program (PNP), which means it is open to immigrant applicants who do not have a federal Express Entry profile.

This sub-category is intended for highly skilled workers with experience in an occupation in demand in Saskatchewan and who do not yet have a job offer in the province. To apply for Canadian immigration under this sub-category, foreign nationals must create an EOI profile through the SINP online application system.

The other sub-category is for Express entry candidates to apply for Saskatchewan provincial nomination. If an express entry candidate is successful in getting a provincial nomination, their Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score gets a major boost of 600 points, which effectively guarantees an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for Canada PR Visa.
