Manitoba invited 299 immigrant applicants to apply for provincial nomination on March 11.
This is the fifth draw of the year for the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program. Skilled workers and international graduates have received Letter of Advice to Apply (LAA) in the following three streams, along with their minimum Expression of Interest (EOI) requirements:
- Skilled Workers in Manitoba – 261 LAAs with a minimum score of 459;
- International Education Stream – 3 LAAs with a minimum score of 728; and
- Skilled Workers Overseas – 35 LAAs;
In this draw, 35 LAAs were awarded to Express Entry candidates.
If you wish to qualify for a Manitoba Provincial Nomination, you must register an Expression of Interest with the MPNP. This way you increase your chances of getting an LAA through MPNP’s Skilled Worker Overseas and Skilled Worker in Manitoba streams.

Manitoba then ranks applicants out of 1,000 points for their human capital factors as well as their ties to the province.
The Skilled Worker Overseas Category and the Manitoba Skilled Worker Streams are designed to allow the province to identify candidates who meet the needs of its labor market.
Candidates are required to show a strong connection to the province such as previous work experience in the province, close family ties, or invitation to one of Manitoba’s Strategic Recruitment initiatives. You are not required to be physically present in the province at the time of application to be eligible.
You must have a full-time job from an eligible employer of the province, to get an invitation under MPNP’s Skilled Worker category.
International graduates who complete their studies in Manitoba may receive an LAA under the International Education stream if they demonstrate they have in-demand skills.
