Top Lobbyist Baguma Reveals Why M7 Fears Besigye More Than Bobi Wine, Lectures NUP Boss On How To Prepare For State Power As M7 Nears State House Exit …

Celebrated veteran political journalist turned lobbyist Richard Baguma has lectured National Unity Platform (NUP) Principal Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu (Bobi Wine) on how to snatch State power as president Museveni runs out of time as the President of Uganda because of natural factors including age.

Baguma narrated that Bobi Wine should accept that in the ongoing Museveni succession battle he is the underdog and has a lot to execute so as to match the likes of the first son Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba who also doubles as the Chief of Défense Forces (CDF) and Museveni’s son-in-law Odrek Rwabwogo the chairperson of the Presidential Advisory Committee on Exports and Industrial Development (PACEID)

“I speak this in good faith, Museveni cannot be overthrown through these elections you people are going in, even if his state power is taken in the way of Omar al- Bashir of Sudan or Muammar Gaddafi of Libya, the power will be taken by those who have been close to him and it will be difficult for people like Bobi Wine who is not even fully prepared to takeover State Power,” Baguma said

He explained that running a country is not as easy as many of Bobi Wine’s grassroot political mobilizers (foot soldiers) think.

He wondered how people like Edward Ssebuufu (Eddy Mutwe) will catch a plane to rush to Washington DC to defend Bobi Wine’s government in United States or New York to defend him at the United Nations.

He pleaded with Bobi Wine and his henchmen to accept and learn to welcome with open hands experienced leaders like Maj Gen Mugisha Muntu and Dr Kizza Besigye who have already shown their willingness to help him since they know what it means to take over power.

He said that these experienced opposition leaders have contacts in key people running state organs and have kept Besigye on top of Uganda’s scene always threatening to overthrow Museveni and because he also understands his capacity due to his background of being a key person in the fight that helped him to take power, he keeps his eyes on him more than he does to Bobi Wine.

“Yes, I admit that Bobi Wine has most of support among the youths especially in ghettos but they cannot help him to take power and Museveni will use them against him like he is doing by arresting them, imprisoning them, torturing them to prove to them that he is the one with power because he knows that their principal lacks experience to overthrow his government,” Baguma added.

This investigative website has established that in 2020, Museveni panics when he was briefed by intelligence that Lt Gen Henry Tumukunde his former spy master and security minister had infiltrated Bobi Wine’s ghetto youths’ groups and he was financing them to get them on his side so that he could use them during and after elections to fuel protests in the country.

Because, Museveni understands what Lt Gen Tumukunde can do, he immediately ordered for his arrest together with a number of ghetto youths and some of them are still rotting in prison.

Kira Municipality legislator Ibrahim Ssemujju Nganda said that during their negotiations with the leadership of the Alliance for National Transformation (ANT), Gen Mugisha Muntu assured them that they need to work together as opposition to overthrow Museveni and control State power to avoid other people taking it from them.

He admitted that currently, Museveni is slowly transferring State power from himself to his son Gen Muhoozi because age is now preventing him from executing some key assignments. He added that because Muhoozi is also learning on the job, he gets excited and resorts to using ruthless actions on opposition leaders and supporters to prove that he is in control.

“Yes, it is true, we are still far away from State power, every day before Museveni wakes up, Muhoozi is briefed and he understands that the man is weakening. So even if he dies today, he will be the first person to know and takeover the country’s power,” Ssemujju said.

He revealed that when he met with Dr Besigye recently, he told him that the only opportunity they have to take over power is through the coming elections and they should use it properly noting that if they miss the said opportunity, in 2031, Muhoozi will take power and he will not entertain witticisms as it has been during Museveni’s reign.

He added that he told foot soldiers that even if Bobi Wine takes over the country’s power, they will not occupy government offices, Bobi Wine will look for other people with knowledge of running the country to help him.

“Look, before Museveni went to the bush to fight Milton Obote, he was in government but when he captured power in 1986, he looked for people like late Paul Kawanga Ssemogerere and ran to Tanzania to plead with president Julius Nyerere to assist him with his experts to help him in organizing his government and teach his people how to run the country.”

The development comes at a time when Justice and Constitutional affairs minister Norbert Mao is claimi9ng that there are ongoing silent talks between president Museveni’s top government officials and opposition political parties especially his Democratic Party, James Akena’s Uganda People’s Congress, Mathias Mpuuga’s Democratic Front, Nathan Nandala Mafabi’s Forum for Democratic Change on how to have a joint government which will help in the process of transferring power from president Museveni to another individual peacefully.

Sources said that because of the said negotiations, it is the reason why former Prime minister John Patrick Amama Mbabazi allowed his wife Jackqualine Mbabazi to contest to represent the elderly in parliament.

Democratic Party’s Fred Mukasa Mbidde also declared his interest to contest as Member of Parliament for Buwekula.

Frank Gashumba a known political commentator confirmed that the new opposition political parties especially Mpuuga’s Democratic Front are funded by Museveni himself and because of the billions of monies he poured in them, people like Samuel Lubega Mukaku, Henry Lubowa, Mike Mabikke have changed their lifestyle and are driving posh cars and buying land and buildings.

Moses Kasibante the Democratic Front spokesperson denied all the allegations insisting that they are not in talks with Museveni government and they are not getting money from him.

He challenged Mao and Gashumba to prove their allegations with evidence.

However, celebrated journalist Andrew Mwenda recently warned that all allegations that Museveni is soon leaving power are false.

Mwenda alleges that Museveni has never dreamt of leaving power and be called a former president, that is why he is ready to imprison any person including his family members who threaten his chair.
