Senior Lawyer Mbabaali Accepts Defeat in NUP Vetting

Masaka- City Lawyer , Jude Mbabaali has congratulated all those who were declared winners ( Parliamentary level) for NUP Flag from the recently concluded vetting exercise.

Mbabaali who was contesting for Member of Parliament representing, Kimanya-Kabonera was defeated by Kuteesa Patrick.

” I extend my best wishes to all those who have been given the party ticket for their success as they prepare to start the election campaigns. While in my case the outcome was not what my supporters in Kimaanya-Kabonera Constituency and I had hoped for, I believe in the integrity of the process and fully accept the results.” Reads part of Mbabaali’s letter dated 30th September 2025, addressed to NUP President, Kyagulanyi Ssentamu.

He also commended, his campaign team, dedicated volunteer, and every person who believed in the cause and supported him

“We may not have won, but I am incredibly proud of the campaign we ran together and the important issues we raised throughout my campaign for the party ticket. It is my hope that all of us who have lost will unite to support the successful flag bearers to win the Parliamentary seats for the party.”

He further pledged, that he will remain committed to the party and our shared values and will continue to be an active voice for Freedom, Rule of law, Human Rights, Quality Education and Environmental Protection in our community.
