I first of all remind ourselves that,

“A nation’s greatness is not written in its wealth or words, but in the unity of its people and the wisdom with which they guard their peace.”

I extend heartfelt congratulations to His Excellency the President of Uganda H.E Yower Kaguta Museveni and to the resilient people of our beloved nation. This anniversary is more than a celebration of years — it is a reflection of endurance, unity, and shared purpose.

From the hills of Kabale to the plains of Karamoja, from the bustling streets of Kampala to the tranquil shores of Lake Victoria, we remain one people bound by hope and destiny.

Let us remember that true independence thrives not only in sovereignty, but in the governance that transforms lives — particularly the lives of our workers, who are the very pulse of our nation’s progress. Good governance must be the bridge between leadership and labour, where fairness, accountability, and opportunity meet to uplift every Ugandan.

As we approach another election season, let us choose peace over provocation, dialogue over division, and unity over discord. A calm nation is a strong nation; and a strong nation is one that endures.

For God and my country
