Mitooma development people’s sacco is at the verge of collapse due to mismanagement of the Sacco activities usurped the powers of the general manager and those of the board chairperson.
After failing to add up what the general manager Mr. Koshaba Milliadi decided to resign and life moves on but left the sacco at tenterhooks.
The sacco has been in existence for around 30 years but failed to grow because of poor leaders like Atamba Keleth. Efforts to reach out the treasurer and chairman board proved futile.
Mr . Koshaba had at one time resigned and gotten a job at Rukungiri local government but was lured to come back but it’s a shame that they have mishandled him again. He is well known for hardwork and whatever the level the sacco is it’s his efforts.
Mr. Atamba the treasurer is alleged to have gotten involved into procurement programs of the sacco and as well recruited his relatives into the financial institution.,
The sacco is like a stunted child because all these many years it has been in existence, it has not grown like other sister saccos the person who could have made it to grow is Mr. Koshaba who was forced to resign again because of dubious deals of the sacco treasurer and his team.
Mitooma people’s development sacco was started by the retired commissioner in the ministry of education Mr.Esau Nshabirwe and has always complained of the sacco not growing as quickly as other saccos in the region. Efforts to reach out Mr. Nshabirwe were futile as his phones could not be reached.
Mitooma development people’s sacco has a record of overlooking the media especially it’s chairman Mr.Richard Matsiko pretending to know everything when actually he knows nothing.
There is a conflict between the supervisory committee and the treasurer who overlooks the committee’s reports and the members that mknewslink spoke to are wondering whether their savings are safer because the sacco is at tenterhooks.
