Yesterday marked a significant milestone at Muyembe Health Centre with the official commissioning of medical equipment lobbied and donated by NRM flag bearers, Bulambuli Constituency Biara Emmanuel Wepukhulu and Woman MP NRM flagbearer, Hon. Sarah Wekomba.
The event drew prominent government officials and dignitaries from across Bulambuli.
In a notable gesture, Biara pledged to renovate the entire ward where patients are admitted.
The facility’s staff and Doctors, led by the in-charge, expressed gratitude and highlighted the challenges they faced without these essential medical equipment.

Following the delivery of essential medical equipment, including an ultrasound scanner, printer, and mobile trolley, Biara Emmanuel Wepukhulu and Hon. Sarah Wekomba were given a tour of Muyembe Health Centre’s facilities.
The in-charge, Dr. Kapsindet Sam, expressed gratitude for the equipments and highlighted the centre’s pressing needs, including: Functional hospital beds for the operating theatre, A baby warmer, Drip stands, Expansion of the operating theatre due to limited space, Additional caesarian section kits, Exploratory operation sets, More hernia sets (currently only two), Patient trolleys and wheelchairs, A functional backup generator and solar system, Solar-powered security lights.
In response, Biara and Hon. Sarah Wekomba assured the health centre’s administration that they would do their best to address these needs once voted into office.
It should be noted that Muyembe Health Center IV serves a catchment population of over 70,000 people in the Bulambuli district of Uganda.
It is the only Health Center IV in a district with an estimated total population of 300,000.
