Centenary Bank is urging customers to adopt biometric technology to enhance security and prevent fraud in place of the usual ATM technology.
This call was made by Evans Nakhokho, General Manager of Centenary Bank who represented the Executive director at the Customer Week event in Mbale. Nakhokho highlighted the risks of traditional ATM pin-based transactions, saying relatives or other people can access accounts if they know the pin.
Nakhokho emphasized that biometric technology makes it significantly harder for unauthorized individuals to access accounts since they use thump prints.
