Drama ensued among angry NUP supporters in Mitooma district after the NUP president Robert Kyagulanyi Sentamu ‘Bobi Wine’ was denied access to the official venue of his campaigns but rather channeled from Kashenshero to Rutookye town council with no official rally in Mitooma District.
According to the roadmap, Kyagulanyi was supposed to move from Rukungiri district via Kashenshero town council and the have an official rally at Omukashansha play ground in Ijumo Mitooma district but it was unfortunate that when he reached Kashenshero town council, he was channeled to Bitereko, Rutookye town council.
He finally got out of the district which angered his supporters who were eagerly waiting for him at Omukashansha playground hence attributing this to the NRM district leadership to have connived which security organs not to allow their candidates to make a rally.
Murefu Ben a Sinior citizen also noted that such acts are not just because all candidates must be given equal opportunities since they were all nominated and allowed to stand.
Howeve, Moses Tumwekwatse the Mitooma district NRM chairperson denied all the allegations people are putting on his team noting that it was due to little support that is making them give excuses.
