SERERE, UGANDA – November 15, 2025 – Abeku Hellen Adoa, the Minister of State for Fisheries , and the National Resistance Movement (NRM) flag bearer / candidate for Serere District Woman MP , on Saturday launched a distinctive door-to-door campaign in Bugondo sub-county, setting a new precedent for political mobilization in the face of public health concerns.
Breaking from traditional mass rallies, Minister Adoa’s campaign has adopted a personalized approach, emphasizing direct voter engagement while strictly adhering to measures aimed at curbing the spread of airborne diseases.
“Bugondo, the good news is coming home,” read a statement from her campaign team. “Today Saturday, the NRM candidate will be spreading the message to you. In a bid to curb down airborne disease, we shall not gather a majority but do a unique door-to-door campaign schedule.”
This innovative strategy underscores the campaign’s commitment to both reaching voters effectively and ensuring their safety, reflecting a responsive approach to the current health environment.
Minister Adoa’s campaign is rallying under the powerful slogan, “PROTECTING THE GAINS”.
