The chairman entrepreneurs’ league and member of CEC NRM and also the party chairman for Bushenyi District, tycoon Hassan Basajjabalaba has warned government against spending money in PDM with a hope of alleviating poverty is not possible.
Basajjabalaba said this today November 15, 2025 at Katungu Ishaka during the sendoff of his mother Hajjat Aziidah Basajjabalaba who died in Germany hospital at the age of 86.
He noted that health insurance and faith based health facilities like Mengo, Nsambya and Kibuli is very paramount and should have been done as early as yesterday.
He adds that the 5 trillion that is pumped in PDM should have been channeled to the three hospitals to save lives of Ugandans who are dying like insects.
“I heard minister Musasizi a young man celebrating that he had injected 5 trillion to parishes all over Uganda to fight poverty but this is too unrealistic,” Basajjabalaba wondered.
The chief mourner Rt. Hon Thomas Tayebwa, calmed down the audience and tycoon basajjabalaba himself that the people of Ishaka are richer compared to other constituencies like Ruhinda north where it takes person his whole life without earning 1 million.
The deputy speaker added that PDM is meant for the poor not for the rich.

He also acknowledged the points raised by Basajjabalaba about health insurance and patterning with faith based health facilities to offer health services to Ugandans.
He added that since they both sit in CEC, they will table the issues before the president and look for lasting solution for them
