Minister Balaam summons Chozen Becky for Violating Children’s Rights

Kampala-Hon. Balaam Barugahare, the Minister for Children Affairs has summoned Singer Rebecca Kukiriza aka Chozen Becky to appear before him and explain why she used innocent children to fight her love wars.

“The Ministry of Gender, Labour and Social Development has taken note of widely circulated images and reports arising from a wedding ceremony held Monday 15th December, allegedly involving the use of children to carry placards bearing messages that appear to target adults in a manner likely to expose the children to emotional harm, public controversy, and online exploitation.” Reads part of the summons

The Minister also noted that,the Ministry respects the right to privacy, family life, and freedom of expression, children must never be used as instruments in adult disputes, publicity stunts, or social media controversies.

” Children are innocent, vulnerable, and entitled to protection, dignity, and care from parents and guardians, regardless of past or present disagreements between adults.”

Becky is expected to appear before the Minister without fail on Tuesday 23rd December 2025.

During this meeting, the singer is expected to formally withdraw the alleged actions involving the children, issue a public apology, acknowledging that children should not be involved in adult disagreements or controversial messaging.

She will also provide a written commitment undertaking never to involve children in her personal, marital, or social disputes, whether offline or online.

“Immediately delete and cause the removal of all social media posts, images, or videos involving children that are linked to this controversy.” Ordered the Minister.

Several other individuals have also condemned Becky’s acts saying that there were uncalled for.
