Police Confirms Sarah Bireete ‘s Arrest

Kampala-Uganda Police has confirmed the arrest of Center for Constitutional Governance (CCG) , Civil Society organizations boss Dr. Sarah Bireete.

“The uganda police force would like to confirm the arrest of Sarah Bireete director for center for constitutional governance. She is in police custody. She will be arraigned before court in due course.” Reads Police statement issued on Tuesday evening.

Several politicians and Civil Society players have started demanding for immediate release of Bireete.
