Management on Cloud 9 as Sheema’s Rweicumu P/S Shines in PLE with 100% Pass Rate

Rweicumu Primary School in Masheruka Town Council, Sheema District has emerged as one of the top-performing schools in the region following the release of the 2025 Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE), posting an impressive 100 percent pass rate.

According to official results released Friday, all 44 candidates who sat the examinations passed, with 20 pupils attaining Division One and 24 securing Division Two. The school recorded no candidates in Divisions Three, Four or Ungraded.

The outstanding performance has been widely praised by school administrators, parents and community leaders, who described it as a result of teamwork, discipline and sustained support from all stakeholders.

The Chairperson of the School Management Committee (SMC), Fred Mugabe, said the results reflect strong governance, effective resource mobilization and commitment to academic excellence. He thanked the teaching staff, parents, the Foundation Body (Church) and the wider community for standing with the school.

“This performance places Rweicumu Primary School on the academic map of Sheema District. It is proof that when leadership, parents, teachers and learners work together, excellence is achievable,” Mugabe said, adding that enrolment for the 2026 academic year has already increased.

Head Teacher Baker Asiimwe attributed the success to dedicated teaching, learner discipline and continuous parental involvement. He applauded both teaching and support staff for their professionalism and commitment, noting that the school’s learning environment has steadily improved.

Parents and guardians also welcomed the results, describing them as a return on their investment in education, while community leaders commended the school for upholding strong moral and academic values.

Rweicumu Primary School is located in Masheruka Town Council, Sheema North Constituency, Sheema District. The school is under the leadership of Head Teacher Baker Asiimwe, with Fred Mugabe as Chairperson of the School Management Committee and Lauben Mwesigye as Chairperson of the Parents-Teachers Association.

School leaders have since pledged to sustain the momentum and further improve performance for the benefit of learners in the years ahead.
