Ugandan Stars Join the World to Mourn Jamaican Singer Peter Anthony Morgan

Ugandan Musicians are grieving the loss of the lead singer of the Jamaican reggae band Morgan Heritage,Peter Anthony Morgan alias Peetah Morgan who passed on at the age of 47.

Based on the pressed statement issued by Peter Anthony Morgan’s family, revealed that Peter Anthony Morgan passed way on Sunday but they did not disclose the cause of his death.

The statement further described Peter Anthony Morgan as a husband, father, son and brother.

“Our family thanks you in advance for your overwhelming love and support, and we ask your continued prayers as we go through this process. We also ask that you please respect our privacy during this time of healing.” statement partly reads.

The news of Peter Anthony Morgan ‘s death has sparked an outpouring of condolences from around the world , including from Ugandan Musicians such as Eddy Kenzo, Jose Chameleone,Bobi Wine, Bebe Cool among others ,who expressed their sympathies through their social media.

Mr. Morgan, known as “Peetah,” started Morgan Heritage with some of his siblings in 1994.

For some early albums, including “Protect Us Jah” (1997) and “Don’t Haffi Dread” (1999), Morgan Heritage worked with Bobby Digital, one of Jamaica’s most influential producers.

At the 2015 Grammys, the band’s album “Strictly Roots” won for best reggae album of the year. Its album “Avrakedabra” was up for the same award two years later, but lost out to “Stony Hill” by Damian Marley, a son of Bob Marley.
