A 2-Year-Old Boy Spends Night in Open House Alone as Mother Disappears

The Police are searching for a 25-year-old woman who disappeared from her home leaving behind a two-and-a-half-year-old boy unattended to.

Luke Owoyesigyire, the deputy Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson has identified the victim as Biira Rollings, a self-employed resident of Kirindu cell in Kintu zone.

It is alleged that Biira was last seen on the night of June 15, 2014 around 11:00pm. A case of disappearance was reported to Kabalagala Police Station.

Police report shows that she left her rented room with the door open, leaving behind a two and a half-year-old son unattended to and he spent a night alone in the house.

According to eyewitnesses, Biira was last seen by her friend, Joyce, to whom she mentioned that she was waiting for her husband, who was arriving the following morning.

However, it is alleged that when her husband arrived home on June 16, 2024, he found their child alone in the room with the door still open.

What is worrying the victim’s family members and friends is the fact that her phones and all her clothing were left behind.
