Former Arua Hill Assistant Coach Ahmed Borini has joined the Onduparaka technical department ahead of the Arua-based side’s Big League second round.

The Caterpillars open their second round with a home game against Kiyinda Boys tomorrow, Thursday, Feb 29, 2024.

“Borini will work together with Ceaser Okhuti and other members of the technical department to spearhead our run and desire to qualify back to the UPL,” the club announced on Wednesday.

Borini comes in at a very crucial time as the Caterpillars who are targeting UPL promotion are tenth on the 15-team Big League table with just 17 points from 14 games – 15 points off the top!

Borini has gained enough coaching experience in the UPL and the Big League working with Livingstone Mbabazi at Arua Hill. He will be expected to utilize such expertise to help push the Caterpillars to the next level.

Meanwhile, Onduparaka also confirmed six new additions including Yunus Dafala, John Rogers Okumu, Sabir Mayoral Noah, Ibrahim Musa, Nelson Mandela, and Jaffer Kerepi in the midseason transfer window.
