Alberta has conducted a new draw for candidates under its Express Entry linked stream. This was the first invitation round conducted by the province in June. The previous Alberta Express Entry Stream draw was held on May 28, 2024.
The Alberta PNP latest draw held on June 18, 2024, saw invitations being issued to 73 candidates under the Alberta Express Entry’s Dedicated Healthcare Pathway. Invited candidates required a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 301 to be eligible.
Date of Draw | No. of Invitations | Draw Parameters | Minimum CRS score |
June 18, 2024 | 73 | Dedicated Healthcare Pathway with Alberta job offer, CRS score 300 and above | 301 |
If you have been invited in this draw, you must send a copy of your invitation letter – along with the requested information to the AAIP within 2 weeks of receiving the invitation.
Dedicated Healthcare Pathway is one of the four categories prioritized by Alberta, for its Express Entry draws. Other categories include:
- Family connection and primary occupation in demand
- Accelerated Tech Pathway
- Priority sectors – Agriculture, Construction, Tourism and Hospitality
Managed under the Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP), the Alberta Express Entry Stream invites candidates from the Express Entry pool to apply for a nomination for permanent residence.
The Alberta Express Entry Stream operates on an invitation-only basis. To apply for this stream, candidates must first meet the AAIP and Express Entry Program eligibility requirements. If eligible, they will be issued a Notification of Interest (NOI) from the province of Alberta.
Once a candidate has an NOI, they must prepare and submit an official application to apply for Canada PR within the designated timeframe. Applications for permanent residence submitted through Express Entry are generally processed within 6 months.
