In a recent draw through the Alberta Advantage Immigration Program‘s Express Entry-linked stream, Alberta issued 22 invitations aimed at healthcare professionals.
The September 10 draw specifically focused on candidates with job offers through the Dedicated Healthcare Pathway, with a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System score of 314 points.
For 2024, Alberta has a nomination allocation of 9,750, matching the 2023 allocation.
To date, 8,023 nominations have been issued. Last year, Alberta issued 10,029 nominations, utilizing a “federally authorized administration buffer” to go over its allocation.

Alberta Express Entry Requirements
To qualify for a Notification of Interest (NOI) from Alberta, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Maintain an active Express Entry profile in the federal Express Entry pool.
- Express a desire to permanently immigrate to Alberta.
- Engage in an occupation that supports Alberta’s economic development and diversification.
- Achieve a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 300 points.
Factors enhancing a candidate’s likelihood of receiving a NOI include:
- Obtaining a job offer from an employer in Alberta and/or possessing work experience in the province.
- Graduating from a Canadian post-secondary institution.
- Having a relative residing in Alberta, such as a parent, child, and/or sibling.
