Sadness engulfed a village in Kapsabet, Nandi County, after a KDF officer allegedly killed a church pastor following what was described as a caught-in-the-act situation.

According to reports, the officer clandestinely returned home late at night and caught the 43-year-old clergyman in bed with his wife engaging in intimate relations. In a fit of rage, he reportedly hammered nails into the pastor’s spine and severed his genitals.

The officer had allegedly been tipped off about his wife’s involvement with the pastor and staked out their home, entering a room unnoticed by his wife.

It is said that he waited until around 2 AM when the couple retired to bed before confronting and brutally attacking them, resulting in the pastor’s death later at the hospital due to the severe injuries.

The enraged officer then turned on his wife, breaking her arm and inflicting further violence upon her while she watched in horror.

Neighbors informed The Star about the gruesome incident, where the officer reportedly cornered his wife in the bedroom and mutilated his lover while she looked on.

An anonymous caller alerted the police about the disturbance around 3 AM on Thursday. Nandi County Police Commander Dickens Njogu confirmed the incident.

“This morning, Reverend Nillah Bassy of St. Barnabas Cathedral came to report the unfortunate incident to the police, who promptly responded,” said the officer.

Neighbors rushed Rev. Kemei to Kapsabet Level 5 Hospital in critical condition. He was later transferred to Eldoret, where he was pronounced dead upon arrival at Top Hill Hospital.
