Another jilted woman cuts off lover’s genitals

Police in Kyotera have launched a manhunt for a woman who cut off her lover’s genitals after suspecting him of having love  affairs with other women.

The suspect has been identified as Harriet who  on the night of July, 21,in Kabaawo cell, Mutukula town council cut off Regan Nkalamaji’s genitals after having an argument in a bar and escalated to their home.

According to eyewitnesses, after cutting off the lover’s genitals, the suspect ran out of the house making an alarm that the victim had been pierced by an unknown object.

She fled the scene as neighbours gathered to find out what had happened.

Greater Masaka regional police spokesperson, Twaha Kasirye confirmed the incident noting that they have recorded the case under number CRB105/2024 and statements recorded from witnesses.

“We have obtained the knife used in the crime and statements that will aid in gathering more evidence regarding the suspect’s whereabouts,” Kasirye said.

This is the second incident in a period of one month where a woman has cut off the lover’s genitals.

Last month, Susan Namuganza, 34 chopped off her husband, Moses Kawubanya, 45’s before fleeing into hiding.

She was however from her sister’ home in Namutumba district where she had ran to and was consequently sentenced to 15 years imprisonment by court.
