Avoid Fetching Yourself Generational Curses- Dollo to Judicial Officers

KAMPALA– The Chief Justice of Uganda, Alfonse Owiny Dollo has called upon all Judicial officers to deliver justice basing on their Judicial Oath , so as to avoid gathering generational curses to their off springs.

On addressing the gathering during the Judiciary’s Quarterly Prayer Break fast held at Supreme Court building in Kampala, the Chief Justice pointed out that many officers may pass unfair decisions for their personal gains, but they shouldn’t forget that the Lord has several ways of punishing wrong doers.

“The things we do as Judicial officers give us blessings or give generational curse. It is more painful for Judicial officer to take that oath and do otherwise.”

Dollo also gave an example of his late Father who warned him against joining the legal fraternity, due to the negative perception that he may end up doing wrong things or become corrupt which may bring generational curses to the family.

“We spend so much time praying and very little time thanking the lord

For me that opens my mind, when am appointed Deputy chief Justice, that’s when I thank him or when he has allowed me to serve as the Chief Justice.” Dollo further added

Bishop Lwere, the main preacher of the day, asked Judicial officers not to think that the Lord is only impressed by their prayers only , but even the way they conduct their duties is key.

On this , he pointed out several verses in the Bible which talks about fair hearing and a fair Justice system.
